Overview
Radicle Agronomics built the world's first fully automated soil sampling lab — and launched their product publicly without a public-facing website. In early 2024 they needed to ship one fast, built from scratch, with no design system, no existing content, and no precedent for how to explain automated soil science to farmers and dealers.

Goal: Greenfield design and development — showcase the technology, educate visitors, and convert leads. Ship fast.
Process
Parallel design and content sprints
In most projects I wait for final copy before high-fidelity design. Here, that wasn't possible — content and design had to move in parallel. I built the design system against placeholder content structures, then swapped in real copy as it was approved. This kept both tracks moving without blocking each other.

Architecture: Next.js + Chakra UI + Kontent.ai
The stack choices were driven by timeline and maintainability. Next.js for performance and SEO, Chakra UI for a component system the team could extend without a designer in every loop, and Kontent.ai for content management so the client could update pages without touching code. HubSpot was integrated for lead capture.
Design system from scratch
With no prior web design system to inherit, I built one from Radicle's brand guidelines — color tokens, type scale, spacing system, and a component library that covered all page types needed for launch.

Outcome
Launched in early 2024. The site gave Radicle a professional digital presence that matched the seriousness of their technology. Lead capture was operational from day one, with HubSpot CRM sync. The CMS setup meant the client could manage all content independently after handoff.
